About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role in Plano, Texas, is a full-time position focused on ensuring the reliability and performance of distributed applications. The SRE will leverage hands-on experience with SQL, monitoring tools, and scripting to troubleshoot and resolve application issues, while also contributing to the overall stability of the systems in a telecom environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot application issues using Dynatrace and identify root causes.
• Write and understand SQL queries, particularly for Snowflake.
• Utilize log aggregation tools such as Splunk, Logzio, or Grafana for application monitoring.
• Implement Unix or Python scripting for automation and efficiency.
• Analyze and troubleshoot distributed applications effectively.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with SQL and Dynatrace or similar APM tools.
• Experience with log aggregation tools like Splunk, Logzio, or Grafana.
• Proficiency in Unix or Python scripting.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Ability to write Snowflake queries.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with the Apigee platform.
• Experience with Postman for API testing.
• Background in the telecom domain.
