About the position

SitusAMC is seeking a passionate and skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team remotely in the US. As a part of our Digital Transformation journey, you will play a crucial role in implementing and automating our infrastructure and platform creation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) integrated with Azure DevOps. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to contribute to the transformation of our clients' businesses while also advancing their own careers in the real estate industry. In this role, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and managing various AWS Cloud Environments that utilize Kubernetes, Microservices, and EC2. You will collaborate closely with development teams to accommodate tools and access requests, standardize monitoring and alerting environments, and participate in patching and vulnerability remediation. Additionally, you will manage IAM roles, conduct basic security audits, and audit pipelines while inventorying accounts. Your ability to administrate source code repositories and work with senior engineers on scoping proposed projects will be essential. You will also become a member of the incident response team and participate in daily standup meetings, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Development teams accommodating tools and access requests
  • Standardize monitoring and alerting environments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience (5 years of experience in lieu of education accepted)
  • Experience with open source databases such as Postgres
  • Experience with Scrum or Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience in building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters
  • Knowledge of AWS and other cloud services
  • Experience with AWS services
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java or .Net
  • Prior experience working on a team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
  • Experience with dashboarding and reporting management
