About the position

The position involves working with a cross-disciplinary team to automate the migration of customer applications to a cutting-edge cross-cloud hosting infrastructure. The role focuses on implementing automation for ongoing monitoring of customer environments and internal applications, aiming to establish high standards of reliability and resilience. The candidate will lead by example, demonstrating positive and inclusive leadership while taking ownership of significant infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

• Run production infrastructure, ensuring sites and applications are available within established SLAs.
• Improve documentation by explaining the why behind processes, not just the what.
• Influence ideas and solutions within the Infrastructure Department to reduce workload through automation.
• Implement infrastructure as code and automation across all Corewell Health infrastructure.
• Plan infrastructure growth for increased scale and new applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve system availability and performance using monitoring and observation data.
• Work closely with development/engineering and architecture teams to enhance product reliability, performance, and availability.
• Safeguard infrastructure and deployed applications to meet security and compliance requirements.
• Operate and maintain existing container platforms and CICD pipelines.
• Provide emergency response by being on-call or reacting to monitoring symptoms as needed.
• Participate in safety initiatives and complete safety-related competencies and requirements in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in SRE, Dev Ops, Net Ops, or related roles.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of relevant experience working with Net Ops, SRE, AWS, and/or Kubernetes.
