About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer Senior at Corewell Health is responsible for automating the migration of customer applications to a cross-cloud hosting infrastructure, ensuring high levels of reliability and resilience. This role involves implementing ongoing monitoring of customer environments and internal applications, while also providing leadership and ownership over significant infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

• Run production infrastructure, ensuring sites and applications are available within established SLAs.
• Improve documentation to explain the reasoning behind processes and decisions.
• Influence ideas and solutions within the Infrastructure Department to reduce workload through automation.
• Implement infrastructure as code and automation across all BHSH infrastructure.
• Plan infrastructure growth for increased scale and new applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve system availability and performance using monitoring data.
• Safeguard infrastructure and deployed applications against security and compliance risks.
• Operate and maintain existing container platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide emergency response by being on-call or reacting to monitoring alerts.
• Participate in safety initiatives and complete safety-related competencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in SRE, Dev Ops, Net Ops, or related roles.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of relevant experience with Net Ops, SRE, AWS, and/or Kubernetes.
