About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer, Sr at PNC is responsible for stabilizing environments and enhancing engineering stability through analytics and metrics. This role involves site design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning, ensuring robust monitoring systems are in place. The engineer will lead performance tuning, troubleshoot incidents, and mentor junior team members, all while fostering a customer-focused and risk-managed approach to operations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and establish ways of stabilizing environments and sites.
  • Drive engineering stability through analytics and metrics.
  • Consult on site design, manage platforms, and plan capacity.
  • Define and implement robust dashboards and monitoring systems.
  • Coordinate and implement SLAs and SLOs for applications and services.
  • Analyze metrics from operating sites to assist in performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents and participate in blameless post-mortems.
  • Optimize complex systems and user interactions in production.
  • Engage in testing strategy approaches and complex incident response.
  • Mentor and train junior team members on infrastructure management best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
