About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role focuses on ensuring the stability and reliability of the Onyx blockchain platform in a hybrid work environment. The position requires a strong background in AWS services, proficiency in Unix/Linux, and experience with various DevOps tools. The SRE will automate production support functions, provide on-call support, and collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance platform performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the stability and reliability of the Onyx blockchain platform in production.
• Automate production support functions to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Provide timely and effective support during on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with users and external clients to address platform-related issues.
• Work in a DevOps-like environment, interacting with development and operations teams.
• Participate in release and deployment activities.

Requirements

• AWS Certification: Solutions Architect Associate or higher
• Minimum 2-3 years of recent, hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS)
• 7-8 years minimum overall IT experience
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and shell scripting
• Understanding of NFS, LAN, and TCP/IP protocols
• Familiarity with DataDog and Grafana
• Experience with MySQL or Oracle
• Skills in Shell, Python, or Go
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Jenkins
• Excellent communication skills to interact with users and external clients

Nice-to-haves

• Recent and active AWS certifications are strongly preferred.
