About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Kforce Inc is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of Fulfillment Technology solutions to support an omni-channel strategy. This role involves collaborating with development, testing, and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient solutions for production environments. The SRE will troubleshoot production system issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, configuration management, and cloud computing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of Fulfillment Technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to design and implement solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production systems using various tools and techniques.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps practices and processes.
  • Manage System Observability tools and ensure effective monitoring and alerting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud SRE/DevOps/Infrastructure or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience with databases, web applications, micro-services, and cloud technologies.
  • 1 year of experience managing System Observability tools (e.g., DynaTrace, ELK, Datadog).
  • Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, Cassandra, and SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python/Shell scripting.
  • Strong background in software engineering, system administration, and networking.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with GitActions for CI/CD automations.
  • Knowledge of Linux architecture and production operations.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in high volume eCommerce applications.
  • 2+ years of experience configuring and managing cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • 1 year of experience with technologies such as Apache Kafka, Azure Cosmos DB, and Docker.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
