About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) position at Randstad US involves ensuring the reliability and performance of production systems. The role requires a blend of development and operational skills, focusing on cloud environments, particularly AWS, and involves hands-on experience with Kubernetes and various monitoring tools. The engineer will work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple responsibilities while collaborating with teams to enhance system resilience and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and support highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale.
  • Build and operate highly resilient platforms in AWS Cloud Environments.
  • Develop software using Python, NodeJS, or Java with a focus on SDLC and automation.
  • Automate processes using various scripting languages such as Python and Shell Scripting.
  • Implement advanced observability practices and techniques at scale.
  • Triage and perform root cause analysis under pressure.
  • Manage and interpret large datasets using query languages and visualization tools.
  • Communicate effectively with various audiences and collaborate with teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology).
  • 5+ years of hybrid experience in Production Support, Development, and SRE.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Splunk and Datadog.
  • AWS Cloud experience, including cloud development and migration skills.
  • 2-4 years of software development experience with Python, NodeJS, or Java.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud Computing and DevOps concepts, including CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Expertise in observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Open Telemetry.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS and AWS/EKS certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies.
