About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer at Citadel Securities is responsible for collaborating with various teams to enhance and support the core suite of trading applications. This role involves monitoring production systems, diagnosing issues, and ensuring the overall service quality of trading applications across multiple asset classes. The engineer will also lead verification processes and contribute to the development of DevOps engineering skills within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including trading, quantitative, and software engineering teams.
• Support and enhance Citadel's core suite of trading applications.
• Proactively diagnose and resolve production issues.
• Monitor the health of production trading applications and respond to real-time systems alerts.
• Provide first level triage and resolution to issues and feature requests.
• Coordinate incident tracking follow-ups.
• Contribute to overall service quality by providing subject-matter expertise of multiple production silos.
• Support large-scale, distributed applications and lead pre-trading and post-trading verification processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Unix/Linux based systems.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with SDLC workflows.
• Programming experience with SQL.
• Experience supporting large-scale distributed applications.
