About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role at JPMorgan Chase involves engaging with and enhancing the lifecycle of Cloud Services, from inception through to operations. The position focuses on developing tools and automation to improve platform efficiency, ensuring the reliability and performance of cloud infrastructure, and participating in on-call rotations. The SRE will also be responsible for debugging production issues and improving technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Engage and improve the lifecycle of Cloud Services from inception, design, deployment, and operations.
• Develop tools and automation to improve the efficiency of the platform and infrastructure.
• Automate repeated manual tasks.
• Analyze defects, propose improvements, and drive efficiencies in systems and processes.
• Develop new cloud engineering strategies and implementations for the firm.
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the cloud infrastructure and platform.
• Develop observability and telemetry tools.
• Improve the quality of technical engineering documentation.
• Debug and solve issues in a production environment.
• Participate in SRE on-call rotations and escalation workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study.
• 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability Engineer, Systems Engineer, Senior Technical Analyst, or related occupation.
• Experience in Cloud Computing Architecture.
• Experience in Software Development Lifecycle.
