About the position

Thales is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to develop and maintain the CTE product line and solutions for deployment across various environments, including on-premises, multiple clouds, and big data. The role involves assessing customer requirements, designing architectural approaches, and providing technical advice for software development. The engineer will collaborate with team members and product managers to strategize, develop, trial, and document features, ensuring the reliability and performance of mission-critical services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Manager and Service Delivery Managers on traffic trends and analyze the impact of mid-term business changes on capacity requirements.
• Integrate, operate, and support 24 x 7 mission-critical services.
• Continuously improve service reliability, performance, and security of the services.
• Review technical products and understand customer requirements.
• Participate in capacity management processes and security audits.
• Define business continuity strategy for operated services over public cloud.
• Work with SRE engineers during integration and operation project phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in design, development, and implementation of applications.
• 5+ years of proven experience in Public Cloud (GCP or AWS).
• Strong working experience in one of the scripting languages - SHELL/Python.
• Experience with Datadog Monitoring tool implementation and monitoring.
• Experience with GCP Terraform.
• Familiarity with SOAP, Rest API, No-SQL, SQL query constructions, operating secrets on Vault, ITIL/Agile, and Kubernetes.
