About the position

The Systems SRE (GPC-Cloud) role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of systems within a hybrid work environment. The position involves leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and various automation tools to enhance the software development lifecycle, improve system scalability, and reduce operational toil. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders and includes on-call responsibilities for incident management.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring application and infrastructure performance.
• Automating the deployment process and reducing toil through automation.
• Improving the software development lifecycle by conducting post-incident reviews and documenting solutions.
• Developing and maintaining systems and services, ensuring scalability and preventive measures are in place.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance system performance.
• Reducing repetitive work for the team through effective automation.
• Handling on-call duties, including diagnosing, mitigating, fixing, or escalating incidents as necessary.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or any other cloud platform.
• Proficient in Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and networking.
