About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role at Booz Allen Hamilton focuses on ensuring the reliability and quality of new and existing products through the establishment of reliability programs. The position requires advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise, enabling the engineer to develop innovative solutions to complex problems while mentoring and supervising team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis on new and existing products to establish reliability programs.
  • Address reliability risks and meet quality requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system and network administration.
  • Experience using Bash and Python.
  • Experience with Git repositories and GitLab.
  • Experience with Docker, Docker compose, and Docker registries.
  • Experience with networking, including configuration of switch or router port security and VLANs.
  • Ability to manage GitLab, Confluence, Jira, and Artifactory.
  • Ability to understand enterprise level systems.
  • Ability to shift from one project to another in a dynamic work environment.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Associate's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years of experience in Linux system and network administration.
  • Experience with software system design, SQL, and database design.
  • Experience with Nginx and proxies, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Ansible.
  • Experience managing Virtual Machines, VM Ware, and Virtual Box.
  • Experience with RMF compliance processes and implementation.
  • Possession of strong problem-solving skills.
  • Possession of strong planning and organizational skills.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
