About the position

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Kenility, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on developing and delivering high-quality products. This role emphasizes the management and optimization of Unix/Linux systems, ensuring system reliability and performance through effective monitoring, automation, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Unix/Linux systems to ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain containerization and virtualization technologies.
• Automate processes using scripting languages such as Bash or Shell.
• Install, configure, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases.
• Manage caching systems to enhance system performance.
• Ensure system and network security principles are adhered to.
• Utilize monitoring and logging tools for system observability.
• Collaborate in Agile environments and utilize project management tools.
• Design distributed, high-availability system architectures.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.
• Extensive experience in managing Unix/Linux systems and their optimization.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and internet technologies.
• Proficient in containerization and virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker, Proxmox, or similar).
• Solid scripting experience for automation (Bash, Shell).
• Proficient in installing, configuring, and maintaining both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with caching systems and their management.
• In-depth knowledge of system and network security principles.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools for system observability.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools.
• Experience working in Agile environments, using tools for project management.
• Expertise in designing distributed, high-availability system architectures.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize systems.
