About the position

SitusAMC is seeking a passionate and skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in Trenton, NJ. As part of our Digital Transformation journey, the SRE will play a crucial role in implementing and automating our infrastructure and platform creation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) integrated with Azure DevOps. The Associate SRE will be responsible for building, deploying, and managing various AWS Cloud Environments that utilize Kubernetes, Microservices, and EC2. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to contribute to the transformation of our client's businesses and their own careers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with development teams to accommodate tools and access requests, standardize monitoring and alerting environments, and participate in patching and vulnerability remediation. You will manage IAM roles, conduct basic security audits, and audit pipelines while maintaining an inventory of accounts. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to administrate source code repositories and work alongside senior engineers to scope out proposed projects. As a member of the incident response team, you will participate in standup meetings and engage in other activities as assigned by your manager. This position requires a proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. You will be expected to self-motivate and maintain focus amidst distractions while contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Development teams accommodating tools and access requests
  • Standardize monitoring and alerting environments
  • Participate in patching and vulnerability remediation
  • Manage IAM roles and conduct basic security audits
  • Audit pipelines and inventory accounts

  • Collaborate with Sr. Engineers on scoping out proposed projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience (5 years of experience in lieu of education accepted)
  • Experience with open source databases such as Postgres
  • Experience with Scrum or Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience in building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters
  • Knowledge of AWS and other cloud services
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java or .Net
  • Prior experience in working on a team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
  • Experience with dashboarding and reporting management
