About the position

The position involves defining enterprise-wide applications development strategies to ensure that applications and infrastructure meet customer requirements while being stable, reliable, and production-ready. The role requires a strong focus on automation and cloud technologies, with responsibilities that include designing, coding, testing, and delivering automation tools for production applications deployment and maintenance. The candidate will be expected to automate infrastructure creation and provisioning processes across various cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and OCI using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting. In addition to automation, the role involves developing applications using Java, Spring Boot, Datadog, Elasticsearch, ReactJS, and Docker Compose technologies for monitoring and alerting systems. The candidate will enhance automation around configuration management and strive towards continuous delivery of software. A significant part of the job will also include migrating Docker Compose and Docker Swarm style applications to Kubernetes using Helm Charts, which involves working with technologies such as Kafka, Postgres, RabbitMQ, ELK stack, and Redis. The position also requires migrating applications between cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP), deploying new versions of software releases to production environments, and handling configuration change requests. Troubleshooting priority incidents, facilitating blameless post-mortems, and ensuring the permanent closure of incidents in both public cloud and on-premise environments are also key responsibilities.
