About the position

The position involves installing, repairing, and managing IT equipment in a fast-paced lab environment. The role requires technical skills in networking and operating systems to support enterprise-class IT hardware, ensuring that equipment is available for remote users to perform their development tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install IT equipment in racks
• Run network cables
• Apply IP addresses
• Perform basic Operating System and Firmware tasks
• Install, repair, debug, connect, move, and remove Enterprise class IT hardware
• Manage requests for installs, fixes, or removal of IT equipment through a ticketing system

Requirements

• Experience with installing, upgrading, and repairing datacenter class IT equipment
• Knowledge of networking basics such as applying IP addresses and defining VLANs
• Working knowledge of Operating Systems such as Linux
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for tool management
• Ability to safely lift 30lb (13kg) of weight

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of SAN cabling and storage configuration
