About the position

The Site Reliability Engineering Lead at DAT is responsible for enhancing SRE practices by leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers. This role focuses on achieving critical reliability goals through collaboration with platform architects and management, while also managing incidents and migrating legacy systems to modern cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist and respond to critical engineering incidents
• Lead and mentor SRE engineers to improve their technical skills
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for cloud infrastructure
• Spearhead major reliability-focused initiatives and projects
• Collaborate with platform architects and management to ensure reliability targets are met
• Migrate legacy systems to modern, scalable cloud environments

Requirements

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, especially with SRE teams
• 3+ years of software engineering experience (JavaScript, Python, Goland, C++, etc)
• Strong incident management skills
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
• Demonstrated success in leading large technical initiatives
• Proven experience migrating legacy technologies to managed cloud infrastructure
• Ability to work closely with both platform architects and management to drive key reliability improvements
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and best practices for reliability
