About the position

The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Leader will oversee a team responsible for maintaining the uptime and operational efficiency of iEnergy, a critical service within Halliburton. This role involves managing cloud infrastructure, scaling deployments, and collaborating with various stakeholders including Engineering, Sales, and Operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud operations and a passion for leading technical teams to enhance automation and incident management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for running iEnergy to maintain uptime and scale deployments.
• Interface with key stakeholders including Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Customers.
• Oversee and improve incident management processes to ensure rapid resolution of incidents.
• Implement best practices in automation and observability tooling for application performance and configuration management.
• Design and manage infrastructure, networking, and storage solutions for AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments.
• Drive operational improvements with transparency and trust, reducing toil and increasing automation.
• Collaborate with Software and Infrastructure Engineering teams in design and operations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) within enterprise cloud and infrastructure operations.
• Deep hands-on technical expertise in SRE functions, particularly in collaboration with Engineering and Customer Support.
• Strong technical and team leadership capabilities with experience managing global teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• AWS or Azure Specialty certification (e.g., SysOps Administrator) is preferred.
