About the position

The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager at Apple will lead a team responsible for maintaining and scaling cloud services that support thousands of development and operations engineers. This hands-on role focuses on establishing SRE practices for a private cloud service, ensuring high availability, seamless scalability, and the successful delivery of numerous applications. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about quality and excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for providing a platform for mission-critical cloud systems.
• Ensure constant uptime and seamless scaling of cloud services.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to design and implement improvements for stability, security, and scalability.
• Support operations while fostering a culture of visibility and transparency across teams.
• Mentor and grow the team, encouraging a strong sense of ownership and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience with Cloud Computing technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience managing enterprise services in a large-scale nix environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Desire to build, grow, and mentor a team.
