About the position

ECC is seeking a Site Superintendent / QC to oversee project sites across the U.S. This role involves extensive travel (90-100% of the time) to various project locations, allowing the candidate to reside anywhere in the U.S. mainland. The position requires coordination with project teams and compliance with environmental regulations, focusing on tasks related to AFFF removal and waste management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the project team, Health and Safety Officer, and Quality Control Officer for task prioritization and interaction.
  • Attend all in-briefs and out-briefs.
  • Plan, oversee, and report on tasks related to AFFF removal, replenishment, and waste material management.
  • Ensure proper packaging of AFFF waste materials for transportation and offsite disposal.
  • Oversee environmental project work, managing waste materials in accordance with regulations.
  • Contribute methods of approach and identify solutions to logistical or operational challenges.
  • Assist in identifying task-specific equipment and operate it as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with project work plans and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate logistics across federal facilities, managing multiple tasks and liaising with key points of contact.
  • Demonstrate professional communication to facilitate operations and build confidence in the prime contractor.
  • Prioritize field activities and identify task assignments.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problems.
  • Ability to coordinate with staff on various task assignments and field activities.
  • Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and requirements.
  • Experience in tank and piping work, AFFF removal, and system decommissioning.
  • Experience in environmental projects, including waste material management and sprinkler system installation/removal.
  • Logistics experience managing multiple tasks across federal facilities.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience on environmental or construction projects.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and budgeting for large construction projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management or related field.
