Support Activities for Transportation

About the position

The Site Supervisor/Scheduler at Paragon Professional Services, LLC is responsible for overseeing the transportation of detainees, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing a team of Transportation Officers. This role serves as a critical point of contact for transport directives and requires effective communication and coordination to ensure the safe and timely transport of detainees. The position involves monitoring operations, conducting training, and maintaining documentation related to transport activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a 24/7 single point of contact for transport directives.
  • Coordinate transportation of detainees as directed by ICE.
  • Comply with USDOT/FMCSA rules regarding transport of passengers.
  • Monitor Transportation Officers' Hours of Service and report to the Transportation Coordinator.
  • Ensure Transportation Officers perform duties per PBNDS.
  • Provide daily Operations Brief and Safety/PBNDS Training brief.
  • Ensure Transportation Officers are aware of appropriate routes.
  • Ensure required detainee documentation is provided prior to transport.
  • Ensure all required equipment for transport is loaded in vehicles.
  • Provide weekly site-specific vehicle updates and coordinate maintenance.
  • Respond to incidents and prepare required reports.
  • Ensure appropriate number of gender-appropriate officers are onboard each transport.
  • Verify Transportation Officers carry necessary permits prior to departure.
  • Daily monitor SureBus.
  • Conduct monthly uniform and weapons inspections of assigned staff.
  • Prepare annual performance evaluations for assigned staff.
  • Counsel officers on performance deficiencies.
  • Issue disciplinary recommendations as necessary.
  • Document all detainee transports and ensure completion of required forms.
  • Review Record of Presence for shift personnel and forward to relevant parties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years' experience as a Law Enforcement Officer or Military Police Officer, or six months as a security officer related to detainee transport, or two years active-duty military service with honorable discharge.
  • Must maintain an active cellphone for communication.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and data entry.
  • Customer service experience and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Team player.

Nice-to-haves

  • Possession of a valid Wear Carry Permit for the state.
  • Possession of a valid Security Guard Certification for the state.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License or Commercial Driver's License.
  • Possession of a USDOT Medical Card (for CDL license holders).
  • Current federal background investigation and access or ability to obtain (e-Qip).
  • Active Federal government security clearance.
