About the position

The Site Supervisor/Scheduler at Bering Straits Native Corporation is responsible for overseeing the transportation of detainees, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing a team of Transportation Officers. This role serves as a critical point of contact for transport directives and requires effective communication and organizational skills to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a 24/7 single point of contact for transport directives with ICE and supervisory staff.
  • Coordinate and communicate for the transportation of detainees as directed by ICE.
  • Ensure compliance with USDOT/FMCSA rules and regulations regarding transport of passengers.
  • Monitor Transportation Officers' Hours of Service and report to the Transportation Coordinator.
  • Conduct daily Operations Briefs and Safety/PBNDS Training briefs.
  • Ensure Transportation Officers are aware of appropriate routes for transport.
  • Provide required detainee documentation to Transportation Officers prior to departure.
  • Ensure all required equipment for transport is loaded in vehicles prior to transport.
  • Provide weekly site-specific vehicle updates and coordinate vehicle maintenance.
  • Respond to incidents occurring on-site and prepare required reports.
  • Ensure appropriate number of gender-appropriate officers are on-board each transport.
  • Conduct monthly uniform and weapons inspections of assigned staff.
  • Prepare annual performance evaluations for assigned staff and counsel on performance deficiencies.
  • Document all detainee transports and ensure completion of trip logs and G-391 forms.
  • Review Record of Presence to ensure proper sign-in/out of shift personnel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years' experience as a Law Enforcement Officer or Military Police Officer, or six months as a security officer, or two years active-duty military service with honorable discharge.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and data entry.
  • Effective organizational skills with paperwork and inventory management.
  • Time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Possession of a valid Wear Carry Permit for the site-specific state.
  • Possession of a valid Security Guard Certification for the site-specific state.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License or valid Commercial Driver's License.
  • Possession of a USDOT Medical Card (for CDL license holders only).
  • Current federal background investigation and access or ability to obtain (e-Qip).
  • Active Federal government security clearance.
