About the position

At Securitas, we have business operations in 45 markets and capabilities from guarding to tech-enabled security. We provide specialized guarding services and outstanding tech-enabled security tailored to our prestigious clients. Our world class services are designed to incorporate a high degree of technology content. The best candidates for this position will be energetic, reliable, self-motivated, have good customer service skills, computer skills, and some knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Smart-Phones (for using a Vision Device).

Responsibilities

  • Trains and supervises Security Officers, Lead Officers and other company personnel at assigned client site.
  • Supports operational effectiveness by assisting in the preparation of post orders, staffing, scheduling, supervision, and in-depth training of assigned Security Officers and Lead Officers.
  • May perform duties of Security Officer within scope of assignment.
  • Strict compliance with and performance of Data Center Access Control Procedures.
  • Teach Security Officers assigned to this post the process of access request tickets, assist people during the processing of these tickets, provide escorts within the facility, and perform foot patrols inside and outside a large facility containing data servers.
  • Teach Fire Life and Safety Systems (FLSS) to all Assigned Security Officers to monitor the Fire Life and Safety Systems, as well as background knowledge regarding fire systems and physical fire protective systems information.
  • Flexibility to work extra hours, an additional day or two, and or come in early or stay late whenever required once assigned.
  • Attend quarterly leadership meetings and any departmental training, which are normally conducted on Saturdays.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Standard computer / technology skills needed
  • Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
  • Strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal / written communication
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus
  • Customer service background preferred
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner
  • Ability to conduct patrols throughout shift
  • Great attention to detail
  • Comfortable conducting access control duties
  • Prior security and leadership experience
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
  • Must obtain Data Center Security Officer Certification via Securitas TalentED
