About the position

The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) at GKN Aerospace is responsible for delivering operational performance through the implementation of standard Supply Chain Management processes and strategies. This role encompasses planning and scheduling, logistics, and performance metrics, ensuring adherence to management processes and alignment within the site leadership team. The SCM acts as the conductor for planning and logistics, driving continuous improvement and accountability in supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Global Supply Chain Management Strategy
  • Responsible for the site Sales Inventory Operations Planning activities (SIOP)
  • Orchestrate meetings between the Program and Site teams for daily execution, weekly MPS process, and monthly SIOP process
  • Create Material Plans (MRP)
  • Create and manage master production schedule (MPS)
  • Plan distribution requirements (Outbound logistics as required)
  • Manage logistics and warehousing activities including receiving, internal movements, warehousing, shipping, and costs
  • Responsible for the site inventory strategy and performance (DIO)
  • Ensure uniformity, accuracy, semantic consistency, and accountability of the organization's official master data in local ERP and systems
  • Deploy and execute GKNA standards and continuous improvement activities
  • Monitor, review, and analyze SCM metrics

Requirements

  • 3+ years' Supply Chain Leadership experience in both planning and logistics operations
  • Must be a US Citizen due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements
  • Experience using an ERP/MRP software system
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Good computer skills particularly in Microsoft Excel

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in operational execution of Scheduling and Execution, Master Data Management, Internal Flows and Warehousing, SIOP/MPS/MRP, Inventory Management, Performance Monitoring
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, supply chain management or systems engineering or 3+ years' experience in Supply Chain Leadership in lieu of degree
  • Understanding of operational interactions related to the flow of information (customers to suppliers)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate across the business
  • Experience working with a Production System
