Peraton is seeking Network Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM, located in Hurlburt Field, FL. This role is critical in providing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and deployed forces. The Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining Network Operations (NetOps), systems and network infrastructure, and providing end-user support. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the network operates effectively for users who rely on it 24/7, 365 days a year. The Network Engineer will perform Tier three network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. Candidates must possess a detail-oriented mindset and in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software. Extensive experience in network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols, and TCP/IP is required. The role involves testing and analyzing network facilities, including power, software, security features, communications devices, and terminals, ensuring the overall integration of the enterprise network. Responsibilities also include planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the network. The Engineer will monitor and control network performance using various tools, identify complex problems, and keep technical skills updated by studying vendor products to meet government needs. Additionally, this position will provide guidance and direction for junior network support technicians. Key duties include providing comprehensive systems and network engineering services, interfacing with O&M personnel, reviewing existing architectures, establishing systems engineering, managing database structures, providing data storage expertise, and supporting cybersecurity technology efforts. The Network Engineer will also maintain LAN, WAN, and VoIP infrastructures, support wireless networking, and work with vendors and technical staff on network implementation and optimization. Some positions may require shift work or non-standard schedules to support the USSOCOM mission.
