About the position

Argo Group is seeking a highly capable SIU Investigator to join our team in New York, Chicago, Omaha, Richmond (VA), Rockwood (PA), or San Antonio. This position is crucial for identifying, investigating, and deterring instances of fraud in both claims and underwriting for a multi-line, commercial carrier. The SIU Investigator will work under limited technical direction, applying established investigative methodologies and strategies to uncover suspected instances of insurance fraud. This role requires a deep understanding of the property and casualty insurance industry, including Workers' Compensation and other commercial insurance services, as well as local and federal laws related to insurance fraud investigations. The investigator will manage investigative vendors to conduct field and surveillance efforts, prepare and present detailed reports of investigations, and collaborate with law enforcement and state agencies in support of criminal investigations. Effective communication with the SIU team is essential, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information throughout the investigative process. The role may also involve serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on specific matters related to claims or underwriting, and assisting with fraud awareness training for staff.
