About the position

The Event Manager at Central Coast Sports Arena is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various events from conception to execution. This part-time role requires a highly organized individual with strong time management skills, budgeting expertise, and exceptional communication abilities to ensure that events run smoothly and meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute events such as public skate sessions, themed events, fundraisers, private parties, team meetings, and training sessions.
• Lead and manage employee schedules; reserve and confirm online and phone event inquiries.
• Provide a fun and friendly customer experience to encourage repeat visits to the venue.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Market events through various channels to maximize attendance and engagement (social media, flyers, word of mouth, etc.).
• Provide exceptional guest services before, during, and after events to ensure a family-friendly atmosphere.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event planning or management is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
• Outstanding communication skills for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Customer-first mentality.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
• 2 years of management experience required.
