About the position
The MTSI SkillBridge Program Internship offers a unique opportunity for Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience during the last 180 days of their military service. This program allows participants to work in a civilian career area while receiving military compensation and benefits, alongside training and work experience provided by industry partners. MTSI is committed to leveraging the skills of highly trained Service members to support critical national defense and security programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop program management qualifications through job shadowing and education via Defense Acquisition University and customized MTSI training.
- Participate in a capstone event for training culminating in a professional certification (PMP from PMI).
- Engage in one-on-one interviews with representatives from program functional staffs to understand responsibilities and key challenges.
- Attend weekly mentoring conversations with supervisor focused on education, professional engagements, supervision, and functional staff.
- Gain hands-on experience on an MTSI innovation project.
Requirements
- 1 year leadership in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated analytical, communication, and personable skills.
- Bachelor of Science degree (any).
- Valid Secret Clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarization with MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of Missile Kinematic Analysis.
- Skills in Safety/Risk Management and Intelligence Analysis.
- Experience in Quantitative Data analysis.
