Responsibilities
- Prepare road surfaces for asphalt paving.
- Distribute and rake asphalt material using tools such as shovels, rakes, and lutes.
- Finish surfaces by smoothing and tamping asphalt material to ensure proper grade and thickness.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with asphalt.
- Valid, insurable driver's license required.
- Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain safety on the work site.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Maintain constant alertness to multiple concurrent activities on the construction site.
- Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
