About the position
The Skilled Caregiver position at Home Instead involves providing essential care services to clients in the Union City area, focusing on weekend shifts. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, with options for both part-time and full-time work. Caregivers will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with transfers and ambulation using Hoyer lift
- Provide dementia and memory care support
- Monitor fall risks and provide incontinence care
- Assist with advanced personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medication reminders and prepare meals
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide stand-by assistance and occasional transportation for errands and activities
Requirements
- Must have 6 months or more of caregiving experience
- Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle
- Registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry
- 2+ years of working history with the same company

- Experience with dementia care
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overnights
