Skilled Trade - HVAC - Sharonville Transmission Plant

About the position

The Skilled Trade - HVAC position at Ford Motor Company's Sharonville Transmission Plant involves maintenance and installation of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Technicians will work primarily on the afternoon shift and are expected to perform a variety of tasks related to HVAC systems, ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities

• Willingness and ability to work on an assigned schedule and change shifts periodically.
• Ability to work more than 8 hours per day and/or work overtime while maintaining good attendance.
• Learn and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Work in a team environment, helping co-workers and promoting a safe work environment.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various HVAC equipment in the plant.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs for refrigerant actions.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems from small units to large chillers.
• Participate in company meetings and represent Central Maintenance on refrigeration matters.

Requirements

• Completion of a bona fide apprenticeship or 8 years of previous experience in HVAC.
• Combination of previous work experience and training equivalent to a bona fide apprenticeship program.
• Universal or ICE License(s) and Local Refrigeration Operators License (City of Dearborn).
• Valid driver's license; Hilo driver certification is a plus.
• Good troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electrical.
