About the position

The Millwright position at Ford's Kansas City Assembly Plant involves skilled trade work focused on the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities

• Willingness and ability to work on any assigned schedule, including shifts longer than 8 hours and overtime.
• Learn and follow safety rules and procedures in a team environment.
• Treat co-workers with dignity and respect, accepting instructions from leadership.
• Understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
• Perform tasks of the trade, including standing for extended periods, walking unassisted, and working at heights.
• Manipulate tools typical of the trade, including PMHV or hilo.
• Perceive differences in details and prints related to the trade.
• Maneuver about vehicles, equipment, assembly lines, or stations.

Requirements

• Completion of a bona fide apprenticeship or 8 years of previous experience in the trade.
• Experience in machine fabrication, installation, and alignment.
• Field machining, lifting and rigging, and steel fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and sketch blueprints.
