About the position

The State, Local and Education (SLED) Account Executive at Axonius is responsible for driving sales and building a business pipeline for the Axonius Security Asset Management platform within the SLED sector. This role involves engaging with various stakeholders, managing the entire deal cycle, and achieving quarterly sales quotas by identifying and developing new opportunities across a broad geographical territory.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed quarterly sales quotas by developing new opportunities within the SLED sector.
  • Research and identify potential top accounts and provide technical information and explanations.
  • Deliver presentations via Zoom and prepare accurate quotes.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Attend regional events as needed and build partner relationships in the region.
  • Build rapport with prospects and customers and manage renewals.
  • Identify and drive targeted prospecting activities for key industry verticals.
  • Manage pipeline activities including driving deals through presentations, demos, and POCs.
  • Sell to State, Local, and Education clients, understanding their budgets and procurement timelines.
  • Develop and manage quotes, proposals, contracts, and price negotiations.
  • Provide regular sales updates to executive management regarding metrics, opportunities, and deal closures.
  • Develop business relationships with strategic Value-Added Resellers (VARs) that align with Axonius offerings.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and share insights with market and product management.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in sales or business development, specifically in the State, Local, and Education space.
  • Proven track record of building pipeline and closing business deals.
  • Industry background and connections in the SLED space preferred.
  • Conceptual understanding of technical security solutions and models desired.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Gmail, MS Office, and web conferencing products required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong follow-up skills are required.
  • Strong understanding of the pursuit and acquisition of cybersecurity business.
  • Ability to communicate both business and technical concepts to different audiences.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Conceptual understanding of OT network environments preferred.
  • Ability to work creatively and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong ability to qualify opportunities.
