About the position

The Account Executive for State, Local, and Education (SLED) at Axonius is responsible for driving sales and building a business pipeline for the Axonius Security Asset Management platform. This role involves engaging with various stakeholders, managing the entire deal cycle, and achieving quarterly sales quotas by developing new opportunities within a broad geographical territory.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed quarterly sales quotas by developing new opportunities within the SLED sector.
  • Research and identify potential top accounts and provide technical information and explanations.
  • Deliver Zoom presentations and prepare accurate quotes for clients.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Attend regional events to build partner relationships and rapport with prospects and customers.
  • Manage renewals and build a diverse sales pipeline with direct customers.
  • Identify deal stakeholders and understand their budgets, procurement timelines, and requirements.
  • Develop and manage quotes, proposals, contracts, and price negotiations.
  • Drive deals to closure, meeting sales quota objectives.
  • Provide regular sales updates, including metrics for meetings, opportunities, POCs, and deal closures to executive management.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and knowledge related to industry trends and share insights with market and product management.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in sales or business development, specifically in the State, Local, and Education space.
  • Proven track record of building pipeline and closing business deals.
  • Industry background and connections in the SLED space preferred.
  • Conceptual understanding of technical security solutions and models desired.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Gmail, MS Office, and web conferencing products required.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills are required.
  • Ability to communicate both business and technical concepts to different audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Conceptual understanding of OT network environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the pursuit and acquisition of cybersecurity business.
  • Ability to work creatively and independently with minimal supervision.
