About the position

The SLED Account Executive at SailPoint is responsible for selling Identity Security Solutions to State & Local Government and Higher Education entities. This role requires navigating complex accounts, primarily at the C-level, and involves negotiating high-value contracts within a lengthy sales cycle. The successful candidate will leverage their experience in SaaS, Cybersecurity, or IAM/IGA to engage with target customers and develop compelling business value propositions for SailPoint's solutions.

Responsibilities

• Sell Identity Security Solutions to State & Local Government and Higher Education entities.
• Navigate complex accounts, primarily at the C-level.
• Negotiate high-value contracts across lengthy sales cycles.
• Engage with approximately 30 target customers using the Challenger sales methodology.
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior-level decision makers and key buyers within named accounts and partners.
• Create account and opportunity plans for 'A' accounts.
• Present pipeline growth plans and forecasts to management.
• Achieve enablement badges through training and performance milestones.

Requirements

• Experience in SaaS, Cybersecurity, or IAM/IGA sales.
• Proven track record of navigating complex accounts and negotiating contracts.
• Ability to engage with C-level executives and decision makers.
• Strong understanding of financial terms and success metrics in sales.
