About the position

The SLED Inside Account Manager - New Logo at SolarWinds is a sales-focused role aimed at driving new business opportunities within the SLED (State, Local, and Education) and Healthcare sectors. The position emphasizes prospecting, lead generation, and selling SolarWinds' IT management software to a diverse customer base, including both large enterprises and small businesses. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and will be responsible for understanding customer needs, effectively communicating the value of SolarWinds products, and managing customer relationships through Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Execute activities for prospecting, lead generation, and selling of SolarWinds products to prospective SLED and Healthcare customers.
  • Research territories to gain an understanding of whitespace accounts to target.
  • Work with SLED and Healthcare territory teams to build a detailed prospecting plan and track progress regularly.
  • Understand customer requirements and effectively communicate the SolarWinds value proposition.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, assist potential customers during the product evaluation process, create quotes and new customer accounts, and coordinate with distribution and channel partners.
  • Manage, maintain, and communicate accurate customer and pipeline records within Salesforce and to sales leadership.
  • Submit accurate and timely commits on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Conduct online product demonstrations to potential customer audiences that are both technical and non-technical.
  • Identify and develop new business through channel partners.
  • Provide market feedback to include customer priorities and needs.

Requirements

  • SLED or Healthcare Sales experience.
  • Understanding of the SLED or Healthcare procurement process and contract vehicles.
  • Passion for selling.
  • Enthusiastic and self-starter approach.
  • Demonstrable record of sales success against quota.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience working at a SLED value-added reseller or distributor.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Exchange, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
