Slitter Machine Operator

About the position

The Slitter Machine Operator position at WorkLink Staffing involves setting up and operating slitting machines in a manufacturing environment. The role is essential for ensuring the efficient production of materials while adhering to safety and quality standards. Operators will receive on-the-job training and have opportunities for cross-training on different machines, contributing to a dynamic and employee-centric workplace.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting machines according to the machine operator's manual under the direction of the supervisor.
• Carry and supply materials to the machines.
• Remove finished product from the machine.
• Be assigned to different machines as determined by supervisors and participate in cross-training.
• Recommend productivity improvement plans and cost reduction plans as part of Total Productive Maintenance activity.
• Investigate and analyze causes of target frustration.
• Help train other machine operators.
• Facilitate internal communication and working relationships within areas of responsibility.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to operate slitting machines and follow operational manuals.
• Strong communication skills for facilitating internal relationships.
• Willingness to participate in training and cross-training on different machines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
