About the position

The Slitting Technician is responsible for setting up and operating roll-to-roll slitting machines to process flexible film materials while ensuring adherence to customer quality standards. This role involves performing visual inspections, conducting quality checks, and maintaining accurate documentation of test results. The technician will also be required to perform minor mechanical maintenance and uphold cleanliness in the work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all roll-to-roll slitters.
• Perform visual inspections and document results.
• Conduct quality checks on witness samples and record test results.
• Maintain a high level of quality workmanship during operations.
• Perform minor mechanical maintenance on machines as required.
• Accurately measure materials down to 1/64th of an inch.
• Maintain housekeeping duties including cleaning and organizing the work area.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in paperwork and data entry.
• Promote safety for self and coworkers.
• Work in a cleanroom environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of quality experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and visual acuity for color perception.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Time management skills and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in slitting for at least 1 year.
• Aptitude for basic math.
