About the position
The position involves providing service to guests at gaming machines, performing minor repairs, troubleshooting issues, and documenting malfunctions that cannot be repaired at the machine level. The role also includes exchanging currency, initiating jackpot documentation, and assisting guests with inquiries about gaming machines and casino services.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and repairs minor problems at the gaming machine.
- Documents repairs that cannot be fixed at the machine level.
- Maintains visibility for guests within the assigned area.
- Exchanges large denomination bills into requested denomination bills and coins.
- Provides information to guests about how to play various gaming machines and general casino information.
- Initiates jackpot/fill documentation and retrieves necessary cash or coin for transactions.
- Witnesses and verifies jackpots and coin hopper fills at the gaming machine and on manual documents.
- Summons restaurant service as requested.
- Assists in resolving guest opportunities and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the gaming area.
- Notifies management of potential problems within the gaming area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months related slot experience in a casino.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations and interpret graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
- Ability to follow good electrical and mechanical troubleshooting practices.
