Slot Technician I

About the position

The Slot Technician I position is an entry-level role focused on providing on-the-job training to develop skills necessary for advancing to a Slot Technician II. The role involves guest service, electrical repair, troubleshooting, relocating slot machines, and performing preventive maintenance on slot machines. The technician will also learn to identify standard slot manufacturers and models in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on slot machines by cleaning and checking internal and external parts.
• Inspect, document, and report defective outer machine sections or parts to the Technician Supervisor.
• Document all activities in the EGM history Logbook and complete required forms.
• Install and remove slot machines by moving them according to instructions and connecting communication lines.
• Assist with floor service calls by diagnosing routine machine malfunctions and performing minor repairs.
• Assist during the daily drop by clearing EGM errors and securing EGM doors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Basic knowledge of electronics or enrolled in post-secondary education for electronics.
• General knowledge of maintenance and repair of electronic systems and equipment.
• Electronic systems maintenance and repair experience.
• Prior experience in computer or arcade video game repair.
• Customer service experience.
• Knowledge of AC/DC electronics.
