About the position

The Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position involves supporting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in implementing speech and language therapy activities. This role can be performed on a full-time or part-time basis and is focused on enhancing the communication abilities of students, particularly in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Implement speech and language therapy activities as directed by the SLP
• Conduct one-on-one or small group therapy sessions with students
• Track and document student progress, providing updates to the SLP
• Assist in preparing materials and adapting activities for therapy sessions
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and the SLP to create a supportive learning environment

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required
• Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
• Experience in educational settings is an advantage
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Team-oriented and dedicated to student growth
• Passion for working with children to improve their communication abilities
