About the position

The SMA Production Manager at IDEMIA is responsible for overseeing production activities and managing team members to ensure performance levels are met and standards are followed. The role emphasizes continuous improvement in production processes, focusing on quality, yield, productivity, and cost reduction. The manager will support production supervisors by providing resources for problem-solving and meeting facilitation skills, while also collaborating with various departments to maintain operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage production activities and team members to meet performance levels and standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in production processes.
• Act as a resource and trainer in problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Collect and report production line status regarding customer satisfaction and process quality.
• Collaborate with the Director of Operations on production goal setting.
• Ensure the Smart Card Department maintains appropriate technology for business activities.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, and Maintenance Departments for machinery maintenance.
• Investigate customer complaints and recommend corrective actions.
• Determine appropriate staffing requirements to maintain service levels.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of related experience in a Lean manufacturing environment in a supervisory role.
• Previous card manufacturing experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
• Proven decision-making capability.
• Willingness to learn and develop new methods and processes.
• Root cause analysis and problem identification skills.
• Ability to distinguish visual defects in production processes.
