About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth financial operations of our organization. Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
• Maintain the general ledger and perform general ledger accounting tasks
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Assist with tax preparation and filing
• Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks
• Perform 10-key typing for data entry purposes

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage or Quicken
• Familiarity with governmental accounting regulations is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations effectively
• Proficient in using 10-key typing for data entry purposes
