About the position

The Small Group Benefits Client Manager at Marsh McLennan Agency is responsible for managing all aspects of small group benefit accounts, including new business sales, carrier marketing, implementation, communication, and enrollment. This role aims to ensure client satisfaction and retention while navigating the complexities of group benefits and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of small group benefit accounts through all phases including new business sales, carrier marketing, implementation, communication, and enrollment.
  • Develop new business and maintain client retention and benefits plan renewals.
  • Gather necessary client plan information and quote with carriers.
  • Process renewals from start to finish, including producing proposals for clients if necessary.
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients to achieve the best benefits for the best rates.
  • Coordinate workflow with the Group Benefits Manager.
  • Direct implementation, enrollment, and communication processes.
  • Perform periodic service calls in accordance with Service Standards.
  • Resolve all client problems swiftly and courteously.
  • Update all accounts on Agency Management Systems, where applicable.
  • File and maintain all client information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain awareness of new developments and legislation in the Group Benefits field.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and carriers.
  • Coordinate outside marketing/advertising opportunities with carrier partners.
  • Handle all requests by clients or provide referrals as necessary.
  • Stay current on renewal/retention processes and legislative compliance issues.

Requirements

  • Current Florida 2-15 License
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain and organize electronic files on the company document management system
  • Working knowledge of Agency Management Systems, Zywave products, or willingness to learn
  • Effective analytical skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Responsive and self-motivated team player
