About the position

The Warehouse Coordinator at Siemens is responsible for managing all shipping and receiving activities at the branch warehouse, ensuring the upkeep of the warehouse environment. This role serves as a primary liaison with branch personnel, facilitating the timely delivery of products to job sites and maintaining accurate inventory levels. The position emphasizes safety, organization, and detail orientation in all tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound deliveries and move parts and materials into inventory or job stock.
  • Pick parts and materials for outbound deliveries.
  • Process all transactions in SAP according to standard procedures.
  • Create shipping papers using preferred carriers' software application.
  • Support the service van parts replenishment process and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Participate in the inventory count process as dictated by policy/procedure.
  • Execute the goods return procedure for the branch.
  • Communicate with internal parties to coordinate delivery of parts and materials to meet project/service demand.
  • Retain documentation necessary for follow-up and proof of delivery and inventory.
  • Maintain general housekeeping of the warehouse and enforce safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • Experience working in a warehouse in a material handling and logistics function.
  • 6+ months of experience for entry level; 2+ years of experience for mid level.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • On-the-job experience with SAP - IM (Inventory Management) and WM (Warehouse Management) modules.
  • Material handling experience using appropriate handling equipment.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (e.g., project managers, service technicians).
  • Demonstrated responsiveness and thorough customer service approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree in a related technical field preferred.
  • Variety of supply chain management experience.
  • SAP experience with other SCM related modules (Purchasing, Accounting, Planning, etc.).
