About the position

The Smart Mining Transformation Principal at Infosys will lead and drive high-priority initiatives for ES clients in the Mining sector. This role involves redesigning core business processes, managing significant change, and engaging with decision-makers to define charters, set roadmaps, and establish KPIs. The principal will analyze operational capabilities and identify gaps to enhance both short-term performance and long-term strategic objectives, while collaborating with cross-functional experts and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Shape, plan, and drive high-priority initiatives for ES clients in the Mining sector.
• Redesign core business processes and manage significant change across Mining business and enabling technologies.
• Engage with decision-makers to define charters and business cases, set roadmaps, and establish KPIs.
• Analyze operational capabilities, processes, people, and systems to identify gaps and enhance performance.
• Drive Smart Mining business transformations to deliver measurable value and outcomes.
• Coordinate transformations across multiple work streams, including Mining Solutions development and Data Strategy.
• Work closely with globally distributed development teams to mitigate risks and maximize project outcomes.
• Foster a learning culture that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and diversity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 10 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience with Smart Manufacturing.

Nice-to-haves

• At least 10 years of experience in leading Mining transformation programs using IoT, Automation/Robotics, AI, Analytics, Predictive Modeling, and Digital Twin technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to shape business cases for new initiatives and develop transformation portfolios within the Mining business.
• Experience working across functions such as Operations, Maintenance, Technology, and Commercial teams to identify cost reduction and revenue generation initiatives.
• At least 10 years of experience in Business/Enterprise level program management with a focus on Agile delivery.
• Understanding of using data/KPIs to track value and manage delivery risks.
• Experience interacting with Change Management teams to drive end-user adoption in a Mining setting.
• Experience working alongside Sales teams to manage senior client buyers and solution owners.
