Uplinq is an Arizona-based startup dedicated to automating bookkeeping and accounting for small businesses. Our journey began with a mission to help SMBs navigate financial complexities, from securing loans to making informed business decisions. We quickly realized that the root problem was the arduous task of bookkeeping, a pain point for many small business owners. Since then, we've been focused on reinventing bookkeeping as a SaaS product, offering high-quality, real-time, and affordable bookkeeping services. Our clients include dentists, restaurant owners, insurance agents, and realtors who appreciate our dedication to simplifying their financial management. Our team comprises 40 passionate professionals, including CPAs, engineers, accounting specialists, tax preparers, product designers, and marketers. We are united by our mission to empower real people to run their businesses more efficiently through innovative, AI-driven solutions. We are seeking a dynamic Account Executive to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong sales acumen, particularly in the SMB sector. You will work closely with potential clients to understand their needs and demonstrate how Uplinq's products can meet their business objectives. This role requires an understanding of bookkeeping solutions and integrations to help clients seamlessly adopt our solutions (we'll help you get there).

Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective SMB clients to understand their bookkeeping and accounting challenges.
  • Present and demonstrate Uplinq's software solutions, highlighting technical features and integration capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other members of the sales team to develop strategies that address client needs and close deals.
  • Assist clients with the implementation and integration of Uplinq's solutions into their existing systems.
  • Conduct product training sessions for new clients to ensure a smooth transition and effective use of our software.
  • Gather feedback from clients to contribute to product development and improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitive products, and advancements in bookkeeping and accounting technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or a similar role, preferably in the SMB sector.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, as well as related software tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting sales teams and closing deals.
  • Experience with SaaS products and software integration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
