About the position

The SMB Account Manager for the Mid Central Region at Sealed Air is responsible for driving sales growth within a designated geographical area. This role focuses on prospecting new customers while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships. The Account Manager utilizes a knowledge-based selling approach to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth through a knowledge-based selling approach by understanding customer needs and delivering unique solutions.
  • Leverage a consultative approach to transition customers from prospects to problem-solving dialogues and solution offerings.
  • Demonstrate market and solution knowledge by articulating the full suite of Sealed Air Protective Solutions to end users and distributors.
  • Create a sales, profitability, and growth plan for the assigned geography to drive profitable growth with existing and potential customers.
  • Maintain customer accounts by establishing relationships, addressing issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction with Sealed Air Product Care solutions.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to review and improve account profitability and manage margins.
  • Complete key administrative tasks such as pricing, CRM reporting, and budgeting.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree; MBA or MS is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales
  • 3+ years of experience with MS Office Suite
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel overnight
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • CRM knowledgeable
