About the position
The SMB Account Manager for the Mid Central Region at Sealed Air is responsible for driving sales growth within a designated geographical area. This role involves prospecting new customers, maintaining existing accounts, and delivering tailored packaging solutions that align with customer needs and sustainability goals. The position requires a consultative approach to sales, leveraging deep product knowledge and market insights to foster customer relationships and achieve profitability targets.
Responsibilities
- Drives sales growth through a knowledge-based selling approach by understanding customer needs and delivering unique solutions.
- Maintains and grows existing customer business by establishing relationships and addressing problem resolution situations.
- Creates a sales, profitability, and growth plan for the assigned geography to drive profitable growth with existing and potential customers.
- Completes key administrative tasks such as pricing, CRM reporting, and budgeting.
- Works closely with the marketing team to improve account profitability and launch new products.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree; MBA or MS preferred
- 3+ years of experience in outside sales
- 3+ years of experience with MS Office Suite
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to travel overnight
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- CRM knowledgeable
